A Problem Exist

Did you know that the world is coming to an end? Well, according to hundreds of research that have been conducted concerning the environment, there has been a rising concern about the environmental degradation. The environment has been destroyed consistently in such a way that nature wants to punish human being by eradicating its existence (Assessing, 2000). Environment welfare is the new agenda for many countries. What is Environmental welfare? It is to let every nation to live in a safe, healthy and pleasant environment regardless of their social positions and residential areas.  The objectives of Environmental welfare are to solve the puzzle of equal rights on having the capacity to protect and approach the environmental sources and services. To enjoy the primary environmental resources through engaging in and meaningful involvement on the decision-making method. To remove environmental inequality amongst social classes, regions, and generations. The reason is that, if the solution is not found, and then there is a possibility of future tragic that will happen like tornados we never imagined, the ozone layer depletion, floods and thousands of other health problems which have started showing up lately. Environment degradation is not only a threat to one country but to all the countries and some countries have already experienced the harsh reality (Kutz, 2012). Environment degradation is a threat to the world of tomorrow, and it is the high time that every person including young and old starts the mission of saving the environment.

History

The environment is the surrounding in which makes it possible for human being to live. Destroying the environment by degrading land and freshwater systems, emitting greenhouse gases and releasing vast amounts of agricultural chemicals into the environment are the means that the life of human being is also being destroyed. In thousands and thousands of years, the environment was always a clean place where a person could breathe fresh air and people would live a long life with the scarcity of diseases. Gone are the days where there were no big industries that pollute the environment. There were very few industries and technology that could have threatened the well-being of the environment. People mostly utilized the use of renewable sources like the wind and the sun, and there was the very little threat to the environment. However, things started changing during the industrialization era. The time of the 1900s was the awakening of all enemies of the environment.

During the 1900s, there were hundreds of inventions which were very good and facilitated to the growth and development of many nations. However, it was also the time when the environment could be destroyed to a point where the repair was almost impossible. There are some countries like literally; killing’ the environment without mercy. It all started with inventions of things like train, fertilizers, cars, energy sources and the many industries that made this thing possible (Park & Labys, 1998). The first train invented emitted a lot of smoke in the environment.  Many industries emitted harmful vapors in the air; the cars emitted smoke too, almost everything that was invented was detrimental to the environment. Some countries like Brazil were the first countries to see this and tried to change their methods of technological advancement. But other countries have not learned like Peru, India, Mexico, and China. It is the high time that governments should try and change the way of development considering the environments well fair otherwise the following consequences will be tragic.

1st Problem; Pollution

Pollution is the main participator of environment degradation. Pollution can occur in the form of air, water, and land. The hundreds of industries found all over the countries that are used for manufacturing purposes are the sole enemies of air, water, and soil pollution. These industries pollute the environment by the smoke they emit in the air (Kutz, 2012). They emit the carbon dioxide gas making the ecological balance of atmospheric composition to be disturbed. This, in turn, causes the destruction of the ozone layer and causes of millions of health problems ah are already killing people like cancer, and other dangerous diseases are still being experienced. Land pollution takes the form of mining which involves digging the ground deep.

Water pollution is the thousands of chemical that are released in the water sources like rivers, lakes, and oceans (Hester et al., 2002). Water is where millions of inhabitants leave, and it is sad that the chemical is causing millions of death of sea creatures. Many countries love eating fish creatures, why then destroy the same lives that feed a human being. This is just, but an outline of the details was to be provided, they would probably be a book (Assessing, 2000). Imagine the noises in the cities, the loud music, and the toxic plants that are growing in the sea, the hazardous energy sources like petrol and diesel and many other things that are making environment unbearable to live. Gas emission pollution is being alleviated in a variety of ways with car effusion control, electric and hybrid vehicles and public transportation policies. Not all the main cities have successful implementation and adequate public transportation in place, but the world is striving on this issue consistently, and we have managed to decrease emissions profoundly aloft the last decade. There is much grabbing up to do.

The cost of poisonous power plants is becoming plausible and the days of coal energy plants are nearly expired. The radiation is a dangerous issue. Radioactive leakage from power stations and nuclear experimentation have already contaminated aquatic life to such an extent that it will take centuries of years to return to normal. More radiation resolutions are in the works with various ecologically friendly energy technologies being built every day.

Solar power is a unique solution. Now that solar transmission is at a climactic height, we can reap power from the sun utilizing solar panel systems. These scale from home systems to larger range systems powering entire neighborhoods and cities.

Wind power is growing into play: This may not appear to be like much at first, but when you receive about 100 feet off the ground, there is plenty of wind up there. Building wind turbines to store natural wind energy can generate electricity. Wind turbine energy and solar power are both significant forces against fossil fuel power and dangerous power. The one problem here is power organizations. They want to linger with radioactive energy factories because they actually can’t be eliminated. It has become the movements of many individuals and small organizations to make the switch, and there are lots of people following this as communities cry out for help.

Electromagnetic Radiation (ER) Conversion: Once major manufacturers of computers and electronic devices recognized the obvious potential for massive ER emissions straight into the eyes and brains of users, they began to implement hardware rules to minimize risks and decrease ER production significantly. Newer machines are in the lead to beat this problem out and, fortunately, this is working.

2nd Problem; Deforestation

Deforestation is a major issue of environmental degradation. Trees bring rain which in turn helps many people and countries that are unable to get clean water sources (Hester et al. 2002). Many industries are cutting down trees without caring about the after math. The houses, the chairs, the millions of structures that are being built are by use of the millions of trees that are being cut down. This does not mean that trees should not be cut down (Kiggundu, 2002). Cutting down the trees is not the issue, but the planting of more trees is the real problems. It is so sad that industries cut down trees but do not plant more, and they expect to get even more wood in the future. The more people cut down trees, and they do not plant more trees the more they are making the environment worse.

Buy fuel efficient cars: Think Prius, not Suburban. Small cars use half the fuel that trucks, SUVs and sports cars use. Burning fewer fossil fuels not only helps reduce CO2 output, but it also helps reduce oil spills and political tension in the Middle East.

Reduce, Reuse, And Recycle. Maybe you already do this a little bit. But we must step up our efforts here 10X to reach sustainability.

Stop using Plastics: All those free plastic bags you get at stores, you don’t need them. Many cities in California have outlawed them. We now carry canvas shopping bags in each car. Plastic bags end up on the side of the road, then when it rains, in the ocean. They never biodegrade. Instead, the sun’s UV rays break down the plastic into tiny pieces of plastic, which is then consumed by fish. Not good. And all those plastic water bottles we throw away - we could easily have drunk our water out of paper cups or reusable water bottles.

Forget about Grass: Everybody wants a lush green lawn. That wastes so much water it should be a crime in some dry climates. And half the fertilizer you throw on your lawn runs off into our water supply and pollutes our rivers, lakes, and oceans. Rocks, trees, and shrubs are far more practical for yards, and look better than grass too. Wear things out. Just 40 years ago goods were so precious that we fixed things when they broke. Shovel handle broke? Replace the handle. Is the knife dull? Sharpen it. The shirt got a hole? Sew it. Did wheel fall off? Fix it. But now people don’t do that anymore. We just throw it out. In fact, we don’t even wait for something to break. Wear those new shoes five times, then leave them in the garage for a year, then throw them out. People very seldom wear out a product these days. It’s just too cheap and easy to throw it out and buy another one on sale. But this is a giant waste of our world’s insufficient resources. My litmus test when I buy something is not “do I like this?”, but rather, “can I use this up or will I wear this out?”

3rd Problem; the Natural Causes

The eternal destruction of the environment through emissions and pollutions has encouraged natural disasters to be a common thing. It is like Karma of nature. There is water that has been polluted, the forest that has been cut down, the air that has been enriched by harmful gases like carbon dioxide and nitrogen, and the land that has continually been destroyed (Kutz, 2012). They have somehow found their way to revenge to humans by causing things like earthquakes, tides, storms, wildfire, avalanches, volcanos and ozone destruction. Many countries get billions of resources destructed by these natural causes. A good example is a Chilean earthquake that resulted in the death of 6,000 innocent human beings dead, and more than a billion worth property destroyed in 1960 (Park & Labys, 1998). As if this was not a warning enough, people continued to play with nature, and in December 2006, Thailand and surrounding were hit with five tsunamis that killed almost 250,000 people and an approximate of $7 billion dollar property damage (Kaden & Rose, 2015).

Natural disasters happen when forces of nature damage the climate and human-made structures. Certain disasters can conflict with the functioning of water and sewage systems as well as the prerequisite of gas and electricity. The lack of these daily services can increase the risk for illness even in uninjured people. For example, absorbing unclean water or eating poorly stored or prepared food can cause severe intestinal disease. Natural catastrophes point to higher costs of living. Food becomes expensive when supply is destroyed, damaged, or helpless to get to market. Damaged buildings undergo electricity, computer, and telecommunications failures, actually shutting down businesses within and resulting in some unemployment. Natural disasters can be occurring anywhere, anytime or without warning. We have recurring natural disasters, periodically in their patterns, just like the floods in the hurricane season. That’s when things could exploit with damages to structures, resources, and even loss of life. With natural disasters strengthening to greater scale and their devastating force getting worse, there’s a dire need to ensure that we have a Contingency Plan devised for such circumstances to be prepared for anything that could happen. Therefore, we have to save our energy and keep clean to earth.

Conclusion

Humans all over the world; the young and the old, why are we always killing ourselves by destroying the environment that we live. Why people are poisoning the waters that we rely on for drinking and irrigation. Why are people destroying the air that every person breathes, why are people destroying the lands that all human beings rely on for living? Why are people cutting down the trees that make nature look beautiful and trigger raining?  Should we be doing the opposite instead? Cut down one tree plant four more, recycle the liquid chemicals and use it to be economical, find alternatives to energy sources like the renewable energy, just make sure everything anyone does only contribute to saving the environment (Kiggundu, 2002). Everybody should ask themselves if development and growth are more worth than the value of life. If there is the time to save the precious environment, it is now or never.
