Discussion: Knowledge Management Case Study

Question description

To prepare for this Discussion, read the case study titled “Knowledge Management at the World Bank: Part 2.” In this case, the Bank’s Director of Knowledge and Learning, Ani Dasgupta, is challenged with transforming the World Bank into a knowledge producer; knowledge customizer; and knowledge convener, connector, or broker (Oppenheimer & Prusak, 2014).

BY DAY 3

Post an evaluation of the World Bank’s implementation of knowledge management from an IT perspective. In your evaluation, be sure to answer the following questions:

  • What steps would you recommend to transform the World Bank into a knowledge producer, knowledge customizer, and knowledge broker?
  • What recommendations do you suggest the Bank’s director use to manage the three broad classifications of knowledge (explicit, embedded, and tacit)? Be sure to consider creating, storing, and retrieving knowledge.

Support your work with a minimum of two specific citations from this week’s Learning Resources and one or more additional scholarly sources.
