Week Two, Discussion Two
Hello Class thanks to the "Brilliants" in DC,  all gov sites with stats are useless now. I am exploring alternative sources,  will let you know if I find another functional site. But I hate to waste your  time until then, so please go ahead and complete this Qs:
What is the process of victim-blaming? Why is this a  common psychological reaction to victimization?
IF AND WHEN THE GOVT FIXES THE BUDGET PROBLEM, YOU CANÂ Â ACCESS THE SITE.
Click on to Victims of Crime and select a topic and  summarize your findings in your journal based on the following criteria
What topic did you select and why?  Did the victim(s) support any of the theories discussed in this topic?  Explain. PS: Click on the link provided and a screen will pop up for NCJRS,  it will have all sorts of info, and you are looking at the screen, on the  left side, there will be 10 terms/columns. The last one says Victims, click  on it, and it will take you to another screen. From there, you can either  read what is seen, or type in a key word, for example, if I click on victims  of sex crimes, it will show a few articles, I can choose one that I want to  read and summarize for my HW. Play around in this site, I promise it won't  bite, part of being a CJ major is to know how to conduct research (you will  learn about it in CJA 449 in depth). All I am asking you to do is to get into  that site, look and poke around a bit, find something YOU like, and write  about it based on the Qs I have asked.
