Just need a better insight and a better understanding on how to better answer this question.

Describe the three tiers of the American federal court system. What role does each tier play? What types of cases are heard in each of the federal courts, and which federal courts hear them? Identify which court a federal case arising in your hometown would start in, then explain the process by which that case might reach the U.S. Supreme Court, identifying any other court or courts that might hear the case between the trial court and U.S. Supreme Court.
