Friends of pet

Need help on my memo introduction ....Im having troubled making a memo persuasive enough to audience

I have to make a persuasive memo about adopting a pet. If anyway can help put statistic or good hook to introduction will be helpful (English isn't my first language)

 

My introduction

Every year more than thousands of pets are waited to be adopted in Friends of Pet. However, this causes Friends of pet to become overcrowded and forcing us to euthanized the pets to make more rooms for new animal. These pets were not given second chance to have ecstatic home. This is where you come in by taking the opportunity to adopt an animal from our shelter not only you getting a new companion but saving a life. This memo will inform step by step how to adopt a pet.
