Explain the roles of Ca2+ and ATP in muscle contraction.Â
Â
I answered the question as follows and received the comment by my instructor to be more specific.  I'm not sure what else to add to this to be more specific.
Â
Muscles contract in a recurrent design of attaching and freeing between the two narrow and wide strands of the sarcomere. ATP is basic to prepare myosin for constructing and to "energize" the myosin. Calcium particles (Ca2+) are a crucial part in the physiology and natural chemistry of living beings and the cell. They assume a vital part in signal transduction pathways, where they go about as a second messenger, in neurotransmitter discharge from neurons, in constriction of all muscle cell sorts, and in fertilization.
