General Question # 2: Constitutional amendments 

The first 10 Amendments to the U.S. Constitution are found in the Bill of Rights.  Along with those initial 10 amendments other important amendments were adopted.  Beginning on page 7 of your text there is mention of the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th amendments.   Just for your information you have Appendix B The Constitution of the United States in your text beginning on page 334.  The first 10 amendments begin on page 341.   

I have used the links below as a quick reference to the amendments discussed and included explanation.  You will notice that as you open each link you will have an opportunity to access a "learn more" link which should give you loads of information.  

 

General Question: Which of above mentioned amendments do you feel has the greatest impact on individual freedom.  Be sure to give a detailed response on why you came to this conclusion.  (If you notice that several students have chosen the same amendment for their initial response why not choose another?) That way we are able to discuss all of them.
