Hi, my name is Amanda. I have to create a portfolio for my criminal justice career preparation class and i am not completely sure how to do this. This is the only thing that my teacher has said regarding the portfolio. If possible could you please help me 

This course will provide you with a brief introduction to the field of criminal justice, including the most common professional positions, recent employment trends, and some useful job finding strategies. It is intended to help criminal justice students and other individuals who are considering a career in the field. Main objectives are:

 

  1. The job market in the area, region, Missouri, and other states. The student will choose career locations based upon personal needs for self and/or family, education advancement, career specialty, and future career change to retirement.
  2. Students will be enriched with basic morals and values (police code of ethics) necessary for a career in public safety and thenexpected to create a portfoliofor presentation and to use personally.       The portfolio can be sent to me via email, hand delivered, or mail it to me. I prefer you email it to me so you may keep your own portfolio for your job hunting and interviews for years to come.
  3. Students will design a cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation and a follow-up letter which will be found in the completed portfolio.
