Below I have answered the majority of the answer however it must be 250 words. Please ensure that this is grammatically correct for a Masters Degree Level, incited properly and referenced properly per APA standard.

1. Discuss two threats of the information age. Discuss at least one specific example of each.

Today, the government continues to be targeted from synchronized and sophisticated attacks that have been recognized to be challenging to defend against. The government is increasingly the victims of advanced persistent threats, often comprised of multi-staged, coordinated attacks that feature dynamic malware and targeted spear phishing emails. Spear phishing emails represents one of the most common approached for launching an attack on the government. In 2013, Charles Eccleston, a former DOD (Department of Defense) employee offered to sell 5,000 emails belonging to government employees to a foreign embassy. He later designed spear-phishing emails to target 30,000 employees and tricked them to click on a malicious link that would download a virus onto their computers (The State of Security, 2016). Identity theft is also on the rise. The United States recently introduced microchip equipment credit cards to help make it difficult for offenders to counterfeit. Statistics have shown that aound 7% of persons that are 16 years of age and older were victims of identity theft in 2014. The majority of victims experienced fraudulent use of their credit card and bank account information. There was also an increase from 2.1 million to 2.6 million from 2012 to 2014 from elderly victims (Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). (n.d).
