BUSN 460 Final Paper and Presentation Instructions
Use these instructions as teams to complete the final paper and presentation. The paper will have a title page and reference page and will use the “sections” below as the headers for the paper. The presentation will be a summary of the paper.

Executive Summary |
Include a clear, specific and brief synopsis of each plan section, and brief financial highlights less than 2 pages. |

Company Organization |
Describe how your team allocated responsibility for decision-making. Include an organization chart. |

Competition |
How did the results of competitive companies impact your decision-making? Provide specific examples and data. Include a SWOT analysis. |

Industry Analysis |
Discuss the industry your business is a part of. Do some outside research and report on. Research industry averages for profitability in your marketplace. How fast is your industry growing? Apply Porter’s 5 Forces model. (Porter, 2008) |

Detailed Results |
Detail your Final Results. This would include Sales, Financials, Profit, ROS, Stock Price and Star Summary Results. Show the progression from year 1 until the end of the Simulation by year. Use detailed and specific data here. Expressly explain what went well and what did not go so well. |

Strategic Recommendations |
If you were running your company for the next five years, what strategic planning recommendations would you make and why?Strategic planning recommendations made are clearly supported by research and long-term and short-term organizational goals.Actionable market, competitive and financial guidance to the board supported by research, facts, and figures, not generalizations, clearly shows the appropriate use and application of quantitative and qualitative research in the market, competitive, and financial analysis and recommendations. |

Team Charter Assessment |
Review your initial team charter. Look at each and explain what was met and was had changed or was missed including the initial strategy, market segment, Project Management Plan, Conflict Management Plan, Team Rules, Ethical Responsibility and Critical Success Factors. |

Whether your company made millions of dollars in profit for its shareholders or had to be saved from bankruptcy by an emergency loan – or both – explain what your team leaned and any insights your team may have had. What would you do differently the next time? |

The paper must be APA format. If you quote or paraphrase from external sources, you must cite the sources in the body of your documents and add the source to a separate reference page. Use APA citation format for all assignments submitted for DeVry courses. This paper should have at least 6 sources. |

Opening Introduction |
Team member makes an appropriate introduction of the team members. Include a clear, specific and brief synopsis of each plan section, and brief financial highlights. |

Substance |
Include a summary of each section of 1-2 slides. Include detailed charts and graphs to show deep understanding of the “Sections”covered. The slide presentation should have a title slide and a reference slide and citations on slides showing where research is specifically used. |

Quality |
Presentation is clear, concise, and easy to read. Slides are not busy, use of extraneous graphics/clip art is minimal, presentation template does not distract from information being presented. Detailed charts and graphs should be included. Presentation contains no spelling, grammar, typographical or formatting errors, graphics and charts are clear and legible. Writing quality is excellent – clear, organized and professional. |

Timing |
Presentation is delivered with a maximum of20 minutes and 20 slides. Do not count the title slide and reference slides as a part of the slide count. |
|
Professionalism |
Presenter speaks clearly, is well versed in the material and has clearly practiced the presentation many times. Presenter uses slides as talking points and does not read the slides to the audience. |
