·         Imagine that you are a senior retail analyst for Safemart, which is contemplating expansion from its home US state to three others in the Union. Assess the relative merits of your own company’s store loyalty card data (which you can assume are similar to those collected by any retail chain with which you are familiar) and of data from the 2010 Census in planning this strategic initiative. Pay particular attention to issues of survey content, the representativeness of population characteristics, and problems of scale and aggregation.

For any GIS project, why is data maintenance often a far more difficult and expensive activity than the initial data collection? Does your response change for primary data collection versus secondary data? Give an example of the situation in which this distinction is difficult to maintain. ·         It is one thing to share geospatial data, but it is quite another to share the data in a manner that is effective.  In this discussion, evaluate what is meant by spatial data infrastructures.  Additionally, discuss how spatial data infrastructures can be used to create a national geospatial infrastructure. Please be sure to provide your main post and reply post two your peers.

What's meant by SDI is a collection of geospatial information used in many organizations. I think sdi can be used to create national infrastructures for deliveries and/or collecting data to determine the marketing plans for a organization's products.

What is location allocation analysis?. Why do we need to study location analysis?

Location Allocation Analysis is what most fast food and grocery stores use to find and ideal location to put a new store. It checks for people, homes, and other competing entities so that the organization can optimize their decision.
