Biometrics

There are many parts of the body that can be used for biometric identification. What parts are commonly used, and do you believe that any or all of these are an infringement on privacy? With the perfection of iris scanning techniques it may be possible to identify individuals precisely from a distance. What are some of the issues that have been identified as being problematic with respect to the increased use of biometric identification?
