Working individually, students should complete the "Critical Thinking" questions at the end of the three assigned chapters. These assignments are designed to incorporate the three unifying concepts of this course.Â
When answering the questions try to answer it using the concepts below when crafting your responses. Pick one of the following to link your answers to one of the concepts.Â
This is where the critical thinking part comes in and using synthesis to deliver your answer.Â
1)Â A"Human Capital" point of views. vs. a traditional Personnel Management point of view.
2) Decision making is driven by Metrics and Analytics vs. emotional appeals.
3) PARTNERSHIPS between Line Leaders and HR Specialists vs. separate disjointed functional responsibilities held by each.Â
I have provided many tips listed belowÂ
The best way to tackle this assignment is to create an outline and to be sure that all the questions are being answered in your paper in relation to the three unifying concepts listed above.Â
Each paper should be a minimum of 3 - 4 pages not including title page and references, and comprehensively incorporate ALL of the questions in the assignments.
Do not have a Turnitin score of over 15% the paper will receive a zero and no opportunity for a rewrite. To help with this do not supply a TOC if it is not asking for one per the assignment.
For each question- do not list out the question, just put the number (#1).Â
References - all of them must have an in-text citation in the body of the paper referencing that source and each of those in-text citations must-have a reference on the reference page.
Here is what I do. I copy the reference and place it on my own document (word or excel) and then I check it to make sure it is correct. I correct it and then I will copy it to my finished document.Â
Many of the references are from borrowed materials, and that is okay, but when they are directly lifted from that document and place it into your own it will show up on TII and most often they are not correct.
Be sure to run the paper through Grammarly. It is free, easy and wonderful!Â
All in-text citations should have a reference and all references should have an an-intext citation.Â
Do not do a TOC it will raise your TII score.
Here is another great resource on "What is Critical Writing". I strongly recommend reading this first, I think it will help bring some perspective on how to write your responses.Â
The paper should have the following:
All references all should have an an-intext citation and all in-text citations should have a referenceÂ
On the Reference page, please center and do not hold the title References. Make sure they are all in black font as the rest of the paper should be and no underlining. Hanging indention on all lines after the first.Â
Double space, black font, 12 pt Times New Roman, references listed on a separate page and each one should have an in-text citation to support each reference.
Paragraphs should be indented and have at least three sentences per each one. There should be no references copied and pasted from the search field.
Every type of reference material has its own way to be referenced (books, electronic sources, quotes, etc).Â
Here is a great APA source
