Seminars are important tools for learning in this course. You will have the opportunity to discuss in real time the unit’s topics with both your instructor and other students. Remember that seminar participation is graded and enriches the learning experience.
Option 1- Attend Seminar:
The Unit 3 Seminar will focus on the question of universal access to healthcare. Before attending the Seminar, be prepared to discuss the following questions:
o   Â
o   Is access to health care resources a basic right that should be provided and protected by government? If so, how should universal access to health care be funded?
o   In the current free enterprise system, is it appropriate to limit access to the most expensive and sophisticated medical technologies to those who can afford to pay for them? Why or why not?
Option 2- Alternative Assignment:
You will benefit most from attending the graded Seminar as an active participant. However, if you are unable to attend you have the opportunity to make up the points by completing the Alternate Assignment.
If you are not able to attend the weekly seminar, complete the Alternate Assignment, Seminar Option 2, by posting to the Seminar Discussion board
