Q1. Boss (Ch. 1) What were the family "norms" when/where you grew up? In terms of diversity? What was your family structure like? How do you think that shaped you? Any particular stressors related to your family structure?
Q2. Boss (Ch. 2) Discuss your understanding of the ABC-X of Family Stress. You may want to use an example to give us some context for your understanding.
Q3. Walsh (Ch. 1) Briefly explain your understanding of the Family Resilience Approach. How does family resilience play out, as related to our complex, changing world? You may want to share one or two specific challenges (divorced parents, LGBTQ family members, death of a family member, etc.) that may create/increase stress and how a family's resilience (or lack of it) impacts the family system and its individual family members.
