FS 5573 Discussion 2 (Boss- Chapter 3; Walsh- Chapter 2)

1.(Boss) Death, Grief, and Loss in the family:Â Discuss how the death of a family member impacts the family, how they may work through their grief (individually and as a family).
2.(Boss) Discuss how culture (may include religion) impacts how an individual and/or their family may grief.
3. (Walsh) Discuss varied family structures (starting at p. 23) and how they differ from what we saw ten, twenty, thirty (and so on) years ago. What do you think has made the greatest impact on the changing of family structures?
4. (Walsh) What do you think the definition of family is? (from your perspective and the perspective of what you read in the literature)
