Discuss: Consider the recurring ethical questions in healthcare on pages 10 - 11 of Making Ethical Decisions or the ethical issues discussed in the Ted Talks above.Select ONE of these questions or topics and discuss what ethical principles are involved. What would be the professional duties and obligations of a child life specialist facing a situation that deals with that ethical question? What would your personal thoughts and feelings be in that situation? What challenges would you experience and how would you address them?Â
I want you to dig deep with this topic. Process the gravity of ethical responsibilities and don't provide a standard or superficial answer. Look at ethics from a variety of angles. Challenge yourself. We won't all agree on these topics - listen, be open, and think critically. Be respectful and thoughtful in your replies to one another.Â
Write your post as a short paper (equivalent to 2-3 pages). Respond to at least two peers. Parent posts are due by Thursday night (worth 30 points). Peer responses are due by Sunday night (worth 10 points each).
