Discuss:Â Why is ongoing professional development important? How is that reflected in this episode? As you think about this week's readings, how do you feel child life's requirements for professional development compare to those of other professions? Were you familiar with the requirements for recertification or was there anything you learned that you found surprising?
Write a narrative reflection (equivalent to 1-2 page double-spaced) describing your current processing in regards to professional development, learning about ethical issues in the practice of child life, and developing a personal ethical model and philosophy of practice. Students should cite course readings or ask open-ended questions they are thinking about in regards to their development as a professional. Respond to at least two peers.
