Prompt: In chapter 6 of our “Breakthrough Principal” textbook, the author describes a scenario where the principal realized that he was spending too much time dealing with individual students about discipline infractions. He posed two questions to himself:
a) “To whom can I delegate some of this discipline work?”
b) “Are there systems that could be put in place to reduce student problems?”
After reviewing the Plan, Organize, Lead, and Control video (and considering comments from our web-conference) discuss how the four functions of management presented in the video could assist with the issues shared from the chapter 6 scenario. (Minimum response – 2 paragraphs.)
