First make sure you have done the unit reading to understand the concepts relating to the building of relationship skills and methods of appropriate influence. Then search for an online article (not a book) that explains more. Research one of the following ideas: professional relationship-building, leadership skills, push-pull influence, or influencing skills.

For your initial post:

·         In your first paragraph, summarize the main points of the article. Do not quote from the article or copy lists; summarize in your own words. End the summary paragraph with a proper APA in-text citation.

·         In your second paragraph, interpret the article content in relation to a situation from your own experiences. These experiences do not have to be IT-related. What lessons did you learn from the situation?

·         At the end of the post, provide a full APA reference entry.

Roles of the Consultant (Practice)

Make sure you have read about the four main roles of the consultant in the textbook reading assignment this week before beginning this Discussion.

For your initial post:

·         In your first paragraph, explain in your own words one of the four roles (coach, partner, reflective observer, or expert). Then either provide an example of this kind of leadership from your experiences, or create a scenario in which this role would be employed.

·         In your second paragraph, explain what might happen to a project if an inappropriate role choice was made by the Consultant.

·         Your answers should be based on your current knowledge and critical thinking ability.
