This Learning Team project explores and defines the change process for an organization in need of change through the lens of change leaders. The project requires each team to:
Integrate two research-based theories for change
Develop a training program that uses job performance to measure the desired change
Provide strategies to overcome resistance
Create a shared diagnosis plan
Identify challenges and benefits for teamwork
Offer an incentive plan for buy-in and an enrichment program for commitment

Your Learning Team may review the case studies from course readings to gather ideas for the scenario.

Complete the following team-based project development activities in Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to prepare for the final project and presentation due in Week 6. The final Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation should describe an organizational change process for the organization that your Learning Team selects for this assignment.

Collaborate with your Learning Team to choose an organization that could go through an organizational change based on organizational shifts, global trends, local markets, the economy, or employee behavior. The organization you select can be from an industry such as business, education, health care, or government.

Obtain faculty approval for your Learning Team’s selection.

Develop a scenario for the organization selected by your Learning Team that will require an organizational change process.
Â
Visualize yourselves as change leaders in your chosen organization. Collaborate on two theories of practice from your readings to help facilitate an organizational change process as leaders. The theories you choose should promote the change process through job performance that can be used to measure the success of the training as it relates to change within the organization.

Begin the Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation by describing the scenario, identifying two theories of practice that will facilitate change, and including rationale for selecting the theories of practice for the scenario. Reference the activities in Weeks 5 and 6 below to plan for slide totals and content details.

Design a training program based on the two selected theories from Week 2 that promote the change process and that use job performance to measure the training’s success as it relates to change within the organization.

Discuss what strategies the Learning Team will use to overcome resistance, create commitment, offer incentives, and address the use of teams during the change process. Include these details in the development of the Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation.

Submit the details for the design of the training program and the selected strategies.

Discuss how you will use shared diagnosis in the change process. Include a discussion of what data would be collected for monitoring continuous improvement.

Develop the last sections of the Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation, including the details about shared diagnosis in the change process and what continuous improvement of change would look like based on data collection that drives change.

Submit a draft of the Learning Team Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation by compiling the slides created from the previous weeks. Include speaker notes and citations for the information that your team collected.
