Having viewed the webinar on program implementation and read the chapters related to various components of a school or district-wide implementation process, prepare a report to a school district’s superintendent recommending a program or training that should be implemented by the district.  Develop a visual display that highlights the past, present, and future benefits and challenges of systemic adoption of SEL program implementation.

Be sure to address these important factors in your evaluation:

• Impact on students—socially, emotionally, academically
• Impact on teachers
• Impact on school leaders
• Impact on the community
• Economic issues
• Connections to Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies and other school or district-wide tiered programs

Now produce either a 5-page written or 5-minute oral narrative (video) to accompany the visual display, describing the essence of what you have determined to be the benefits and challenges, the things to have learned from the past and what can be addressed in future implementations. Make connections to your current educational situation with an evaluation of what specifics would work and perhaps be areas of concern to consider in the event of systemic program implementation. Be sure to collect a list of references and cite them in your narrative so that you can go back and find them again at a time when you might be in the place of actually implementing such a program. Length: 1 visual display, 5-page essay, excluding title and reference pages, or 5-minute narrated presentation or video.

References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.

Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
