This week's writing assignment is a critical thinking question. Meaning there is no correct or incorrect answer. The moral of the assignment is to have you think and then research facts to support your thoughts.
Question: Chapter 6 briefly discussed sex and gender differences. Sex differences being the biological aspect (what organs you were born with), while gender differences being more of the society influences (social roles, behaviors, clothes). In 2017, nearly 1% of the US population were identified as trans gender. This year Dwayne Wade went to Instagram to openly support his son coming out as trans gender at the age of 12. With the rise of the topic in America, what is your opinion on gender differences? Do you think gender differences can outweigh one's biological factors? What factors do you think influence sexuality (rather positively or negatively)?
