Week 10 Stock Journal

This is the week you have been waiting for—to see if you are walking home a pretend millionaire, or whether you would be finding a side job to recoup your losses!

This is the last of the three stock journal assignments that you will complete during this course. For this assignment, you will add your work for Week 10 to your previous work from Weeks 3 and 8, following the instructions below.  Two templates have been provided for your use. One template is where you will enter your chosen companies, the share prices, and the number of shares you will be purchasing given your budget of $25K. The other template is where you will write your rationale/summary. Please download both templates, then complete, save, and upload both templates to Blackboard when submitting your work.

Instructions

For Week 10, review your investment for the last time and complete the following:

1. Record the current price of the stock for each company you selected in Week 3's Stock Journal. 

o You may use any price during this week (e.g., day one price, the opening, the low, the high, the close, or any price you find when you check it during the day). Use the MS Excel spreadsheet or MS Word document to put your Week 8 and Week 10 stock prices side-by-side, to show the comparison.

1. Determine the total value of your investment.

2. Provide your final opinion/assessment of your investments.

o Consider the following questions as you provide your assessment:

o Did you make money or lose money?

o What were your results?

o Based on hindsight, what you would do differently?

1. Discuss what you learned from this assignment and how this assignment could help you in the future.

2. Use at least two quality references. Consider using the sources of information ideas above and/or searching and locating resources from the Strayer University Library. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

3. Submit two documents for your journal assignment submission by uploading them to the assignment submission area:

o Completed Excel template with Week 3, 8, and 10 complete.

o Completed Word document template with your rationale with Week 3, 8, and 10 complete.
