For this assignment, you will continue using the scenario introduced in Week 2. You and the members of your cross-functional leadership team have been gathering data to better understand your organization’s processes and service expectations. After completing an exhaustive review, your team concluded that contextual factors within the organization’s various functional areas would make a prescriptive, organization-wide initiative problematic. You must now prepare to report your recommendations to the CEO of your organization.

 

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word report detailing the contextual variance within your organization and an alternative plan for improving service to external stakeholders. Your report must clearly demonstrate how context affects the different processes, performance expectations, services, and definitions of quality in two separate functional areas of the organization. Additionally, recommend a plan for a situational/distributed leadership initiative that will empower organizational leaders based on the specific needs and contexts of their functional area. Include a minimum of two recommendations that demonstrate how situational/distributed leadership could be applied in different functional areas to support the varying contexts.
