Unit 1 Assignment 1: Systemd vs SysinitÂ
Linux distributions are moving to deploying a new system of managing processes and services called systemd. This system has been available since Fedora 15 but is now being fully implemented in all new distributions of Linux. This system is used to initialize, manage and tracking system services.Â
Â
Directions: For this assignment, your instructor will place you into small groups of three to four peers. In your groups, you will visit https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SysVinit_to_Systemd_Cheatsheet (Links to an external site.)  and compile a handout of Systemd vs SysVinit commands. There should be 3 columns in the handout: a description of the command, SysVinit command and the new Systemd command.
Write a one-page report in the form of a handout in which you describe each of the file access methods. You may need to search the public web using a search engine like Google or Bing to find description of the commands. Cite any sources you use in APA format; this includes sources for any screenshots that are not your own.
Be sure to choose commands that you found interesting. We want to see a good variety of commands that could become part of a handout to new users of Linux.Â
