Based on the knowledge obtained in this course and previous coursework, youwill examine a topic relevant to operating systems based on theory and practice. You are expected to identify a particular topic relevant tooperating systems, investigate the topic through extensive literature search and deep synthesis, and produce a scholarly paper. You should discussspecific research interests with the instructor so there is agreement on the suitability of the project. Make sure to include topics discussedthroughout this course. One of the following project types is acceptable for this course:•Exploratory investigation of a topic: Carry out an extensive examination of an operating system problem through literature review, analysis,and concept synthesis.•Evaluation: Conduct an evaluation of an operating system technology, design, or tools used in operating system management. Comparativeevaluations of two or more similar tools or technologies are acceptable.MilestonesMilestone One:Project ProposalInFinal Project: Research Project Proposal, you will submit your Project Proposal. Submit a two-page proposal outlining your plan for the final project, includingtheproject typeand how you will complete the assignment. This assignment is not graded but will be evaluated as part of the Milestone Submission elementwhen your Final Project is graded.Milestones Two: Project Mid-ProgressInFinal Project: Research Mid-Progress Report, you will submit your mid-progress report, including the work you have done and the work to be done.
