Neither of these are best, the contingency approach is the better choice to manage most businesses and groups.
They are basically the same style and are interchangeable.
Since the quantitative approach has been around longer, it is better known than the other choices.
Quantitative approach is all about the smaller systems that make up the bigger group, so they can focus only on the smaller pieces.
Neither approach is better or worse, as each has a place and situation where it might be better or worse. Additionally, they can be merged and blended.
