For this Discussion Board, please complete the following:

A very important part of career planning is to have a good understanding of who you are as a professional. In this Discussion Board, you will identify some of your skills-based characteristics, or soft skills, that have prepared you for or will complement the next step in your career. Consider some soft skills that you already possess. Some examples of this might be good communication, flexibility, determination, teamwork, a strong work ethic, and more.

Read the following article to see more examples of soft skills valued by employers: Soft Skills: Definitions and Examples.

Think about which of these soft skills you have. Then, answer the following questions:

  • How do you demonstrate these soft skills in your personal, professional, or academic life?
  • How will these characteristics make you successful in your future career?

Responses to Other Students: Respond to at least 2 of your fellow classmates with at least a 50–100-word reply about their Primary Response regarding items you found to be compelling and enlightening. To help you with your discussion, please consider the following question:

  • What differences or similarities do you see between your posting and other classmates' postings?

For assistance with your assignment, please use your textbook and all course resources.
