In Week 1 you decided on a topic and generated three research questions. In the Week 2 Discussion 1 you found one scholarly source and one popular source that you will use for the rest of the course. In the Week 2 assignment you wrote two paragraphs to start your Research Topic Short Essay. For this week you are going to combine the Week 2 Discussion 1 and the Week 2 assignment to revise your two paragraphs to include citations and list references.

In this forum you will add in-text citations to the two paragraphs previously developed. In each paragraph use the ICE Method and add one in-text citation for each paragraph. When you have revised your paragraphs, post your paragraphs and APA-formatted references into the Week 3 Discussion 1 forum. The purpose of this is so that we can provide feedback for each other on our writing. This is meant to be a supportive exercise where we can provide peer feedback on integrating research into writing.

In your initial discussion forum post, restate your topic selected in week 1 and share the two paragraphs created in assignment 1, applying the ICE Method. Include the following details:

  • Topic. Share the topic of your Research Topic Short Essay.
  • Integrate. Use ICE (Introduce, Cite, Explain) to include citations from the articles you chose in your paragraphs, and cite your sources using APA Style. In other words, each paragraph should include the ICE method with APA Style citations.
  • References. Incorporate the references at the end of the two paragraphs.

Your initial post should be a minimum of 250 words and is due on Day 3 (Thursday).
