| Prepare
Prior to working on this discussion, do the following:
- Read Chapter 3: Enjoying the College Experience in the textbook.Â
- Choose one of the following personal growth articles to read that interests you. You will use this article for your initial discussion post.
 | Reflect
Enrolling in college ensures that you will experience personal growth. In fact, seeking growth in intellectual, emotional, and collaborative ways is likely the reason you made the decision to become a student. Personal growth through higher education will enrich your personal and professional life. It is our personal experiences that help us become better individuals and members of our families, communities, and society. As you read one of the personal growth articles from the UAGC library, consider the importance of your own growth and how, through your learning and actions, you can reach your fullest potential.

 | Guided Response
Respond substantively (in at least 100 words) to at least two of your peers by Day 7 (Monday).Â
Select two classmates who did not read the same article as you.Â
In your peer responses,
- Discuss something from your peers’ posts that resonates with you, provides you with a new or different perspective, or explains something you can apply to your experience moving forward.
- Discuss how learning about others’ journeys, challenges, and growth can contribute to your academic success in the online environment.Â
- Use Section 3.2 of Chapter 3: Enjoying the College Experience to support your discussion.Â
An important part of your learning involves the exchange of ideas and feedback with your peers and instructor. It is also tied to the participation and critical thinking components of your earned discussion grade.
