Hello,
Â
I'm trying to create a map using ArcGIS. I think I'm using version 10. All the data was provided by my instructor. I added counties, usroads and schools layers. I projected them all to the coordinate system I was using and defined the projection for each of them. I click zoom to layer on the schools layer and it takes me to 1:97,213. The road layer is not visible. I click zoom to layer on the roads layer and it takes me to 1:1.11. No other layers are visible when I zoom to roads. zooming in or out on the roads layer does not make the school or county layers appear. Likewise I can't make the roads layer appear when I zoom in and out on any of the other layers. The roads are also appearing as dashed lines even though they are set to solid lines. They appear this way no matter how far I zoom in or out.The roads layer is in the same coordinate system as all the other layers and when I open properties, it is set to show layer at all scales. I tried looking in the book and online for a solution but I am at a loss. I tried to download the data to try again but my computer will not let me extract the files. It keeps telling me that the destination is invalid. Any suggestions you can give me would be appreciated. This is a picture of what the roads section looks like.
