ENG 147 Week 5 Polish Your Draft and Make it Plagiarism Free

Polish your Draft and apply the feedback I gave you on your Week 4 Draft. 

  • Use the simple video tutorials I provided to help your transform your draft into an APA formatted document. Or, for some of you who knows how to use the RiverPoint, tranfer your Draft to a RiverPoint document. 
  • Use transitional phrases or sentences when you move from one main point to another.
  • If you have not done this yet in Week 4, include at least one paraphrase and one quotation from your research sources using the techniques covered in this week's materials.  Your paraphrase and quotation need to be used to support the points you are making in your body paragraphs.  Remember that you are required to use at least two sources from the University Library. Include an APA in-text citation after each quotation and paraphrase.
  • Have a References list at the end of your Draft. If you are using the same sources as the ones you used in the Week 4 assignment, then you do not have to worry about this part! 
  • Submit your paper to the Plagiarism Checker in the University of Phoenix Center for Writing Excellence.
  • SAVE and SUBMIT a copy of the Plagiarism result along with your Draft. WE must be able to address any plagiarism issues in your Draft as soon as possible!  

Submit your Week 5 DRAFT to the Assignment Files tab (as a Microsoft® Word document) and the copy of the Plagiarism Checker report.

NOTE: The APA formatting tends to give some students additional difficulty in writing their Draft. So, using the APA Template is optional. If creating your DRAFT in the APA Template is not a problem to you, USE the APA Template, located to your right under the Student Materials heading.

 

Your introduction and conclusion paragraphs can be polished next week (Week 6) do not worry about them for now.
