Gates-MacGinitie Reading Test that measured

i have an assignment on making an excel sheet and frankly I have no clue how to do it. I am an older man taking some classes for myself and thought it would be a challenge.  sadly this was a mistake.  The assignment is below. I have no clue if I am even reaching out correctly.  Thank you

Please read the BACKGROUND/SCENARIO which will provide you with the data you need for the assignment. Then, read YOUR TASK which will describe how to create the PowerPoint. A rubric for evaluation purposes is provided for you at the end of this document.

BACKGROUND/SCENARIO

Below you will find the results of end of year reading testing for the 5th Grade class designated 5-3 Blue.

Students were given the Gates-MacGinitie Reading Test that measured (1) reading vocabulary and (2) comprehension. Scores are given as Lexile scores.

The Vocabulary Test measured reading vocabulary. Each test word was presented in a brief context intended to suggest part of speech but not to provide clues to meaning. Students were expected to select the word or phrase that meant most nearly the same as the test word. *

The Comprehension Test measured students’ abilities to read and understand different types of prose. All of the passages were taken from published books and periodicals. The content is selected to reflect the type of materials that students are required to read for their schoolwork and choose to read for recreation. Some questions require students to construct an understanding based on a literal understanding of the passage; others require students to make inferences or draw conclusions. The Comprehension tests also measure the ability to determine the meaning of words in an authentic text context. *

The data from the test also yielded a Total Score that combined the Vocabulary and Comprehension scores.

For example, a student could get a Vocabulary Lexile score of 5.8, a Comprehension Lexile score of 6.4, and a Total Lexile score of 6.1.

After the test administration has been completed and scored you have been given the following data:

YOUR TASK

PART A: SPREADSHEET

Your principal has asked that you create a spreadsheet and a brief PowerPoint presentation, all of which is to be given to a new teacher who will be teaching the class for the first time next year. The contents of the PowerPoint will be discussed below.

Create a spreadsheet that will present all of the data you have been given and is sorted and presented by student name. The columns should be labeled: NAME, GENDER, ETHNICITY, IEP, VOCAB, COMPREHENSION, TOTAL SCORE.

Students should be listed in alphabetical order.

An average score should be computed and entered as the last entry in the VOCAB, COMPREHENSION, TOTAL SCORE columns. Label that line as AVERAGE OF SCORES.
