You will have a 2 choices different ways you can approach this assignment. The objective is for you to learn how to create a Job Letter and a Resume. Many students find this a difficult assignment because they do not have enough experience to create a robust resume and they struggle to meet the minimum requirements for the assignment. If you fall into this category, you can choose one of the other prompts.

choice 1: If you are presently in the market for a job and would like to use this opportunity to create a new resume and JAL for a particular job, feel free to use your own experiences and education. This works well if you have had at least three prior jobs and if you find a job that matches your skills and experience. If you have never had a job, it is almost impossible to come up with a resume that meets the requirements of the assignment. Choose another prompt and then use what you have learned to create your own resume when you are looking for a job.

Choice 2: If you don't have experience now but know what you want to do it in future, you can create a resume based on your professional biography. Basically, you will be projecting yourself into the future and make up your experience and education. See the example below:
