Dear Academic Review Board,
This letter is for reconsideration for admission for Fall 2017. I have been scholastically dropped from the university for failure to meet the scholastic requirements. I take full responsibility for my
performance and lack of planning in Spring 2017. I know that XYZ university has high
expectations for students and it is necessary for me to adopt to university educational mission
and standards.
If granted admission for Fall 2017 I am fully aware that this will be the last chance of admission
into the university and my credit hours I can take for the semester will be limited by the
University. Here is my plan of action that I will pursed if granted admission into the university. I will research my coursework to ensure that I do not to take too many dense subjects at
once. For example, many professors say it’s not recommended to take Advanced
Financial Accounting and Auditing in the same semester. I would use that information to
plan my schedule accordingly. I will limit my hours at work to part time. I know that school is a commitment and having
time to study and retain the material is essential for excelling in each course. Also,
utilizing my professor office hours, the university Accounting tutoring lab, and attending
study groups with fellow class members. One of the key elements in understanding Accounting is not rememorizing the problem
but understand how do to problem even if any variable change. I will work to
understanding the information beyond surface rememorizing and but be able to explain
the answer shows great understanding of the subject matter. I will go over the material after each class to have better understanding and sound
knowledge of the content. By doing this it will ensure that I am effectively studying for
the test and putting my focus into the practicing the problems. As you can see from my action plan above I have addressed the three issues that has caused me
to get scholastically dropped from the university. I know the words on this paper means nothing
without my willingness to execute and prove myself. I gravely ask to please give me another
chance to attain the University for Fall 2017.
