Observation:  (Learning Story)

 

Making the leaves collage

 

Ella is making leaves collage. As I was setting up Ella stood watching me. "What are we doing? " Ella walked over to the table. I said to Ella we make some art with leaves, it is collage. Ella nodded and said "What's that? I want to make". She watched me to do it once. She confidently and chosen the leaves and said "I want the big one". Smiling, she glue the big leaf on the piece of paper. She chosen the other leaf and glue the second leaf on the paper and said "broken". "It's ok, the leaf still can glue on the paper" I said. Ella kept to glue the second leaf on the paper. Then she chosen the third leaf and she took the smaller one. She glue the smaller leaf on beside the the big leaf and said"here". Next, Ella confidently used the marker to drew the line and circle on beside of the leaves "it is a flower" she said. " it's very beautiful" I said. She chuckled and drew the other three lines on the leaf. Ella took my hand and said " I done". "You did very well done and it was a fantastic picture" I said. Ella smiled. "Do you want to take it home" I asked. She nodded and said "yes, I am happy". 

 

Observation: (Anecdotal observation)

 

Libby was playing "baby doll play" in the bed. She was sat on the bed and holding the baby and close to her body. She looked at the baby and said "shi". Then she putted the baby on the bed. She helped the baby cover the quilt, followed she pat the baby back and let the baby sleep. She then lied down sleep together with the baby.

 

 

Observation: (Jottings)

 

Penelope was playing "cooking" with other children in the sandpit.

She sat in sandpit with a cup, child V came and tries to take the cup from Penelope’s hand. She smiles, and gave the cup to child V.

She filled up her pot with sand and placed in the toy stove. 

Penelope's mother arrived in the sandpit to pick up her, she smiled and immediately went to her mother in front.
