Term Paper – Instructions
1. You are to pick a recent legal and/or business scandal and develop a legal and
ethical analysis covering that topic/scandal. The scandal should have occurred
within the last one or two years. You should use the ethical toolkit within your
analysis, as well as, any applicable statutes and/or caselaw which may apply.
You are expected to determine what issues exist, conduct extensive research, and
write a comprehensive analysis. Each of your scenarios should have legal issues to
be addressed within them. 2. You must type your paper in Microsoft Word, using 12 pt. Times New Roman font
and 1-inch margins, double spaced. 3. The paper must be at least ten (10) pages. (Do not copy the question – this is a
term paper). You will lose points for papers of less than ten (10) pages. Neither
your title page nor your works cited page count toward the page limit. 4. You must support your answers with research. You must cite any quotations or
unoriginal thoughts. You may also cite your textbook and other resources if you
wish. However, please do not use Wikipedia – it is not a reliable source. You may
use it to find other resources, but it should not be cited or referenced within the
term paper. 5. Grammar will be included as part of your grade. Use full sentences and check your
spelling. You should not use the first person (ie: me, I, my, etc.) or the second
person (you) in your response. You should plan to write in the third person to
resolve the issues. 6. You should use full sentences and use appropriate transitions between paragraphs,
and include both introduction and conclusion paragraphs. Your Works Cited list
may include your textbook, but you must also include at least four (4) other
sources.
