Read through the samples.  Using the 5 point Narrative Scoring Rubric, give each of the two student samples a score (1 – 5) in all six categories using the Narrative Scoring Sheet.  (see attached).    After rating each writing piece, on scores of 4 or 5, give a narrative complement and on scores of 1, 2 or 3 give the students specific suggestions and/or strategies they can use to revise and improve their writing.  Turn in the completed Narrative Scoring Sheet.Â
