create classic games like Halflife

After reading the lecture below, need help in making a wise response to it, please. I need to have at least a response that can give me a B.  Note that it is an "Information System in Organizations (IFSM 300) Class". Thank you so much!

The Company that I chose was Valve.  In 1996 two former Microsoft employees founded Valve.  They would later create classic games like Halflife, Team Fortress, and many more.  The information system that Valve would implement in 2004 that would give the company a huge edge over many of it's competitors was Steam.  When Steam launched the idea behind it was to be an online game patching system.  It would later evolve into an online community were players could meet with people and friends.  It would later expand into a platform that would allow 3rd party games to be hosted and sold, all of which would be under the parent company of Valve.

It is very worth noting that in 2010 Steam would nearly double the profits of Valve by bringing in around 300 million, which was approximately 30-40% of the companies profit for the years.  Link to article provide below.

Steam has also lead to other companies that were in direct competition with them to team up with them and use the Steam online platform in order to get their games out as quickly as Valve.  While I could not find a direct number of companies that were putting their products on Steam I am providing the Wiki link.  Wiki references some of the companies at the bottom of their page.  This demonstrates the competitive advantage that this Strategic Technology gives Valve.
