To: Kim Choe, owner From: Andrew Martinez, manager Date: January 26, 2016 Subject: Hi Dear Ms. Kim:
As you requested, here is my recommendations to reduce the problems we’ve been
having with the counter lines at Paul’s Burger Shop. As you know, each cashier has a
separate line for customers. This mean that sometimes a customer in one line has to
wait longer than a customer in another. This creates frustration among the
customers. I’ve actually see customers in different lines get in arguments. Also, some
customers are so concerned about their position in line, that we when they get to the
cashier, they still don’t know what to order. To solve this problem, I recommending
that we have a numbering system, similar to the one a deli at a supermarket use.
When customer enter the restaurant, they take a number from a dispenser. A
number board beside the menu will be indicate which customer is next and which
cashier the customer should go to. Also, I would like to recommend that we provide
a paper menu to customers, which they can read while waiting for their number.
This will ensure that customers know what to order when it is their turn at the
cashier. Please let me to know whether you would like me to take the required steps
to implement these recommendations. Thank you.
