Note:Â An additional guideline regarding proper nouns is worth noting. Generally, if a student misreads a proper noun, the assessor should tell the student the correct pronunciation of the proper noun at the first miscue. This is counted as a miscue, but only once, even if the child continues to misread the same proper noun.
