Grignard Reaction Help:
During this lab no one was able to complete it successfully, but the TA wanted us to use 0.34g as experimental mass and calculate the % yeild. We used 2-bromopropane (1.48g) (MW 123), 4-methoxybenzaldehyde (0.68g) (MW 136.15). 2-bromo was dissolved in anhydrous diethyl ether and that was added to Mg turnings and refluxed to make the reagent. 4-methoxy was also dissolved in diethyl and added to the grignard reagent. (diethyl used=10ml) the end product was supposed to be 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropan-1-ol I just need help with these calculations. Thank you in advance.
