n Your Own 21-21. Create a new presentation based onthe Five Rules template onOffice.com. (Hint: On the Newscreen in Backstage view, click inthe Search box, type Five Rules,and then click the Start searchingbutton to the right.)2. Watch the slide show in Slide Showview. Note that you do not need tomanually advance the slide showuntil most of the slides haveplayed. Note the five rules as theyare presented so that you can listthem later.3. In Normal view, examine theslides, transitions, and animationsused in the presentation. Forexample, display Slide 9 in Normalview, change the zoom level of theSlide pane by zooming out so thatyou can see the end of the plant tothe right of the slide. Click eachobject to select it, and then click theANIMATIONS tab to see theanimation applied. (Hint: WhenMultiple is selected in theAnimation group, more than oneanimation is applied to the object.Try clicking one of the animationsequence icons. If the AnimationPane opens, try examining thesettings in it.) Or make theTransitions tab active, and then inthe Slides tab, click Slides 10through 14 and note the transitionand effect (on the Effect Optionsmenu) used for each slide.4. Create a new presentation, and saveit as Creative Presentations.5. Type Creative Presentations as thetitle and your name as the subtitle.6. Create a new Slide 2 using the Titleand Content layout, type Tips forInteresting Presentations as thetitle. Then type the five rules givenfor creating an interestingpresentation based on the principlesin the Five Rules presentation youwatched.7. Create a new Slide 3 using theSection Header Layout. TypeAnimation Example as the title8. Create three new slides using theBlank layout.9. On Slide 4, search for clip art usingthe keyword Cybart, and insert oneof the results. Resize it,maintaining the aspect ratio, so it istwo inches high. Copy the resizedclip to Slides 5 and 6.10. On Slide 4, apply the Entranceanimation Fly In to the Cybart clip.11. Use the Add Animation button inthe Advanced Animation group toadd the Motion Path animationLoops to the clip. Change the starttiming for this animation to AfterPrevious.12. Use the Add Animation buttonagain to add the Exit animation FlyOut, use the Effect Options buttonto change the direction to To Right,and then change the start timing toAfter Previous.13. On Slide 5, apply the Entranceanimation Fly In to the clip, changethe effect to From Left, and thenchange the start timing to AfterPrevious.14. Add the Motion Path animationShapes, and then change the starttiming to After Previous.15. Add the Exit animation Fly Out,and then change the start timing toAfter Previous.16. On Slide 6, apply the entranceanimation Fly In to the clip, changethe effect to From Top, and thenchange the start timing to AfterPrevious.17. Click the Add Animation button,and then click More Motion Pathscommand below the gallery. In theAdd Motion Path dialog box, in theLines_Curves section, click theCurvy Right animation, and thenclick OK. Then change the starttiming to After Previous.18. Add the Exit animation Fly Out,change the effect to To Right, andthen change the start timing toAfter Previous.19. In the Slides tab, click Slide 4,press and hold the Shift key, andthen click Slides 5 and 6. On theTRANSITIONS tab, in the Timinggroup, click the On Mouse Clickcheck box to deselect it, and thenclick the After check box to selectit.20. Start the slide show from thebeginning, and use the usualmethods for advancing the slide

With the Animation Bounce End Feature
1. Click on an animation in the animation pane.
2. In the pull-down menu, select Effect Options.
3. In the Effect Options menu, increase
the value for Bounce End.
4. A higher value will make the animation end
in a longer, bigger bounce while a lower
value will result in a shorter, quicker bounce.
5. To apply this animation to other items in
your scene, use the Animation Painter to
paint your newly created animation on to
other items.
6. Put this slide in Slide Show mode to
view an example. How to Create a Stylized Look
Using the Film Grain Artistic Effect
1. Right-click on your image and select
Format Picture
2. In Artistic Effects, choose Film Grain
3. Adjust the values of transparency and
grain size to achieve your desired look
4. In the Picture Color menu, increase the
Color Tone Temperature to give the image
a warmer feel
5. Use the Picture Corrections menu to
increase the contrast
6. Finally, add a shadow by going to the
Shadow menu, choosing a preset and
then modifying until a nice effect is
achieved Before 7. Try it yourself! See the After version of
the image for the values we used to
create the film grain look

With Stylized Effects
1. In the Insert Tab, click Video/Video from File
2. Navigate to the location of your video and
click Insert
3. With the video selected, click on the Video
Tools\Edit tab at the top
4. Click on Trim Video to change the start or
ending point for your video, consider adding
a fade to the beginning or end, and adjust
other video options
5. In the Video Tools\Format tab, choose a
poster frame, adjust the color of your video,
or add a frame
6. Consider using the Video Effects menu to
put your video into perspective
7. Examine the properties of this video to see
how we used the tools to achieve this look
