experience training animals

1) Often we use schedules of reinforcement in our everyday lives and are not aware. Think about and share a schedule of reinforcement that is present in your life or someone you know. Please share the details of the real-life example and use the video to aid in your discussion as appropriate.

If you have had experience training animals, the same procedure would be used with humans. Suppose you wanted to teach your child how to use a fork. Your child does not know how. How would you use shaping, positive or negative reinforcement, or positive and negative punishment? Would you use punishment at all?

2)Interestingly, modern theories of conditioning have generally emphasized the establishment of S- S associations. In particular, they have attempted to specify how the NS and US become associated during the conditioning process— a problem that Pavlov himself grappled with. Can you think of reasons why classical conditioning is of interest to Psychologist?
