Question description

Question is in reference to this:

Team units in organizations result to employees working in close-knit arrangements that are dependent on each other. Such arrangements have several benefits. One of the benefits is that it enhances creativity and the thinking of members. Members of teams brainstorm amongst each other, leading to better solutions that those of individual persons. Also, teams cause the blending of strengths that complement each other among members. Team members usually have different strengths that may not work well independently when different people with diverse talents make contributions towards the same goal; then the results are bound to be better. The next benefit of teams in organizations is that teamwork promotes healthy risk taking (Glassop, 2002). People in teams have more confidence taking risks as compared to individuals. Healthy risks are usually suitable for development. Therefore, teams may help the organization grow by taking up more opportunities that are risks. Teams also help develop trust among members leading to employee liking their place of work and therefore lower rates of turnover. Such lower rates of turnover save the companies from having to train new members and losing talent. In general, the cumulative effects of the benefits that team units confer to organizations is that they lead to faster development through higher rates of productivity that individuals cannot achieve.

QUESTION :As you consider the systems-thinking aspect of this question, what differences do you see in these benefits?
