Reflective letter

Question description

Every student is an individual with a different set of skills and learning needs. Think about your own set of skills and learning needs in relation to academic writing. Identify one specific academic writing skill that WRI102 has helped you develop the most over the past 15 weeks. Then, using the Toulmin method of argumentation, write a self-evaluation that addresses the following points:

  • What is the importance of the writing skill you picked?
  • What was your skill level at the beginning of the semester?
  • How have you been able to develop the writing skill?
  • Are you satisfied with the level of improvement?
  • Is it possible to improve further? If yes, how?
  • In what ways do you think you could make use of this skill? Think long-term and beyond university life.

Remember that writing skills are not limited to good grammar or vocabulary knowledge. Pre-writing (e.g., brainstorming, outlining), process (e.g., drafting), critical thinking and argumentation skills (e.g., deductive and inductive reasoning, Toulmin method), research skills (e.g, being able to locate credible sources, reading primary research, synthesizing sources, integrating sources), effective communication (e.g., expressing your ideas clearly) are all writing skills.

Length: minimum 500-600 words

Formatting: APA 6th edition

I had a quiz about principles of argumentation and wrote an Argument Essay and a Critique-Evaluation Essay and finally a Research Essay
