Healthcare economics and policy updates must be synthesized and communicated to institutional leadership on a regular basis to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and to prepare the institutional leadership for upcoming policy changes that may impact the healthcare institution. The ability to read and understand a healthcare issue and convey its meaning and possible implications to leadership is a required skill for healthcare administrators.

Background Information
A healthcare administrator must understand economic concepts and be able to convey the main points of how healthcare issues and policies impact an organization to be better able to manage the organization.
In this assignment you will again assume the role of a healthcare administrator. You will identify a current government regulation and examine its legal implications as reported by the media, synthesize the information, and communicate the issue and possible economic implications to your healthcare institution through a memo. The memo will not only communicate important information and possible changes to economic policy to your healthcare institution but will also ensure compliance with laws and regulatory standards.
