  1. Download the  Annotated bibliography example.docx  and review it to better understand the content and format for the bibliography.  If you have questions, be sure to ask your instructor.
  2. View the Library Resource Guide website and read about the research process and how to use the Off Campus Library Service (OCLS) at IWU to conduct research.
  3. Use the resources available on the OCLS at IWU website listed under the Resources section of this assignment, to locate references for best practices of effective use of social media for the type of organization with which you are familiar.
  4. Prepare an annotated bibliography of social media best practices.  
  5. Your annotated bibliography should include seven scholarly sources, and eight from credible newspapers, trade journals, or websites - for a total of 15 sources.  Be sure to use OCLS to find these sources.
  6. Each annotation should do four things:  1) summarize the content of the source, 2) indicate why the source is relevant to the topic, 3) clarify why the source is credible, and 4) justify why the author should be considered an expert.  
  7. When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Dropbox by the end of the workshop.  The paper should be in APA format with a title page and annotations.  See the example for details on the format.

  6. When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Dropbox by the end of the workshop (Turnitin enabled).
