Week 2: Lab 2

For your lab write up, refer to your food tracker from last week, Lab 2(attached file). Respond to the following questions. In your lab report, simply include the questions in bold and your answers in plain text.

  1. What were your hypotheses? Were you able to accurately guess a serving size?
  2. Explain/interpret the results from your table for the reader.
  3. Did your findings support your hypothesis or not? If not, speculate on what happened.
  4. How accurate were you in determining serving size? Why do you think that is?
  5. Were you surprised by any of the results? Why or why not?
  6. Did you become more accurate in guessing serving sizes over the course of the experiment?
  7. Pick five of your favorite foods or drinks and tell someone how you would describe the serving size and what it would compare to. For example, does your portion of a hamburger look like a computer mouse, or a deck of cards? (Be creative)
  8. Given what you have learned from this experiment, what do you think about portion sizes in the U.S. diet?
